Job Summary

The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly skilled IT Help Desk Manager to oversee and manage the help desk team, providing frontline computer support to over 10,000 staff members across 160 locations. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage team resources, prioritize projects, and set timelines to ensure efficient help desk operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to resolve IT issues and improve service delivery.
  • Work with IT helpdesk and incident management systems, updates, and issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform supervision and lead-worker activities, including hiring, assigning, directing, evaluating, and providing training to team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT help desk management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing team resources, prioritizing projects, and setting timelines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience working with IT helpdesk and incident management systems.
