Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Senior Naval Mechanical Engineer. This role involves applying mechanical engineering expertise to support Navy clients and acquisition organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mission-suitable Naval vessels and systems using mechanical engineering principles
  • Support research and development (R&D), integration, and test and evaluation (T&E) activities
  • Collaborate with a technical and acquisition team to achieve project goals
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers to enhance their skills and capabilities

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on defense systems
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design standards and practices for defense systems
  • Ability to analyze complex mechanical designs and identify areas for improvement
  • Expertise in performing quantitative analyses of mechanical systems
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Navy acquisition processes
  • Knowledge of mechanical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $110,100 and $250,000, based on qualifications and experience.
