Healthcare Collections Job Description

At Addison Group, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Collections Specialist to join our team. This role will involve working closely with insurance providers to manage claims and assist in the transition to in-house collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on outstanding claims, prioritizing by dollar amount and aging status
  • Coordinate with insurance companies for claim resolution and updates
  • Participate in a structured training period to learn our systems and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather necessary information
  • Support the internal transition from third-party to in-house collections processes

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in claims follow-up or healthcare collections
  • Familiarity with government and commercial payors
  • Experience working in a healthcare facility
  • Basic pre-service experience, including benefits verification and pre-authorization
