At Laland Baptiste, we offer a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Contract Claims Specialist to join our team in Syracuse, NY. As a key member of our claims department, you will analyze delay claims brought against the State within a geographic region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the workload within the assigned geographic region independently and think critically to make contractual decisions.
  • Analyze complex construction schedules and make informed decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with all management levels and possess exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or associates degree with 2 years' experience in a similar position, or 4 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction schedules required.
  • Must have a driver's license valid in New York State and reliable means of transportation.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45.00-$80.00 hourly, depending on qualifications, education, skills, and experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, 401K, vacation, holiday, and personal days, sick leave, and more.
