Job Title: Environmental Services Tech

Huggins Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Tech to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, emergency department, and other high-traffic areas.
  • Restock supplies, including paper products, soap, and sanitizer.
  • Manage and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment.
  • Laundry and cleaning of uniforms and linens.
  • Perform daily inventory and inspect equipment for repairs or replacements.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
Organizational Expectations:
  • Attend work daily, on time, and complete scheduled shifts.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Practice workplace safety and adhere to hospital policies.
Employee Engagement:
  • Participate in hospital Service Excellence initiatives and training.
  • Attend and participate in department staff meetings.
  • Complete required annual education on or before the due date.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in healthcare environmental services or similar field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
