Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our team at Huggins Hospital. As an Orthopedic Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other licensed medical providers with direct patient care, ensuring a respectful, confidential, and family-friendly environment.
  • Perform patient access functions, including accepting and returning patient calls, scheduling appointments, and completing orders for patients.
  • Provide clinical direct functions, such as documenting patient information, performing diagnostics, and assisting with minor procedures.
  • Utilize the Electronic Health Record to complete documented best practice workflows accurately and document patient medical history within EMR guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory items and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program preferred.
  • One to two years' experience in the medical field, unless successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • Current CPR certification and Registered Orthopedic Technician credential within one year of employment.
