Role Summary
This role entails providing both administrative and technical leadership within a cardiorenal research laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to research protocols and safety regulations, managing laboratory resources, and offering guidance to trainees and research personnel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating research activities and advising on research methodologies.
- Overseeing animal model arrangements and maintaining accurate records.
- Conducting complex data analyses and preparing findings for publication.
- Assisting in the preparation of grant applications and renewals.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry is required, along with experience in research or clinical laboratory settings. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience may be considered.
Essential skills include:
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain confidentiality.
Work Environment
This position is fully grant-funded and requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment. The role involves working Monday through Friday, with potential for additional hours as needed.
