Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and examination of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, emphasizing global taxation aspects to guarantee precision and compliance.
  • Interpret complex tax reporting standards such as ASC 740 and FIN 48, applying them to various scenarios to ascertain suitable tax accounting practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax analyses pertinent to the company's financial projections and strategic plans, aligning tax strategies with broader objectives.
  • Manage the preparation of U.S. federal and state income tax returns while collaborating with external providers to establish a robust compliance framework and timeline.
  • Lead studies for Research and Development and Unicap to validate calculations and comprehend technical concepts while engaging with key stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Support the indirect tax compliance function for vendors and customers, including reviewing sales and use, excise, gross receipts, property, and foreign vendor withholding taxes to ensure full compliance.
  • Assist with U.S. tax government audit processes, responding to tax inquiries and maintaining clear, accurate documentation.
  • Engage in special projects and perform ad-hoc analyses to bolster departmental and company-wide initiatives, enhancing efficiencies through technology.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Taxation, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of direct tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax audit management experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm or a multinational corporation.
