About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at East Portland Surgery Center. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our procedure rooms and pre-procedure/PACU areas.

Responsibilities
  • Prep and maintain procedure rooms, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, and cleaning.
  • Manage patient flow to/from procedure rooms, and assist with patient positioning for procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Assist with patient care within the MA scope of practice.
  • Pull case materials and stage in appropriate areas.
  • Understand principles of aseptic sterile technique and their implementation.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • One (1) year previous clinical experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven history as a team player.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in providing exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Full range of physical mobility.
