- Assist clinicians with patient care activities, including taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, and performing diagnostic tests.
- Use electronic medical records to document patient data and update demographic and clinical information.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and responding to messages.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient-centered care and achieve departmental quality and service goals.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a similar clinical area.
- Current National Medical Assistant Certification.
- Familiarity with documenting in an electronic medical record system.
