Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist to join our Special Education Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, and have experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a variety of educational settings
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in deaf education and incorporate new techniques and strategies into daily practice
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong communication skills in ASL and English
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
