Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Welfare Specialist to join our team at Presbyterian Night Shelter. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits.

Salary: $20.67 per hour

In this role, you will provide advocacy and case management services for child residents of our emergency shelter, ensuring their safety, education, and well-being. About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field and experience working with families experiencing homelessness. Prior knowledge of developmental stages, age-appropriate activities, and care guidelines for children is essential. As a seasoned professional, you will be able to make sound decisions and act effectively in a residential setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advocacy and case management services for child residents
  • Ensure the safety, education, and well-being of children in our care
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized plans for each child
