Key Responsibilities
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the primary expert for our packaging specification management system, ensuring seamless integration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with internal teams, including Research & Development, plants, operations, and brand management, as well as external packaging suppliers and customers, to drive business growth and sustainability.
  • Project Leadership: Lead packaging projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality expectations are met.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of food packaging processes, materials (corrugated, flexible film, plastics), and equipment to develop and optimize packaging solutions.
  • Process Optimization: Manage and execute studies on printing and label application processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Contribute to the regulatory aspects of packaging under the R&D department, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Optimize packaging configurations for storage and shipping, including specification of boxes, palletization, and dialings.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive initiatives in sustainable packaging, focusing on innovative materials such as PCR and recyclable flexible film.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in food manufacturing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of packaging engineering experience, preferably in food manufacturing, with a proven management track record.
  • Technical Skills: Broad technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead significant packaging projects that enhance both the top and bottom lines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
