Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee comprehensive accounting functions, including month-end closing and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis to compare budgeted versus actual financial performance.
- Mentor and supervise the accounting team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Lead the research and implementation of new accounting standards, providing strategic guidance on complex financial matters.
- Contribute to the enhancement of accounting policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement in internal controls and processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts and budgets, delivering insights that drive operational and financial performance.
- Develop financial reporting packages for senior leadership, summarizing key financial metrics.
- Manage the annual audit process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all audit requirements.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and timely filing of tax returns.
- Lead special projects as assigned, including system implementations and mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- CPA designation is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial close processes, along with experience in internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Proficiency in modern ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines consistently.
- A team-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving results and ensuring client satisfaction.
