Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at the University of California. In this role, you will provide direct support to physicians and patients, acting as a liaison and facilitating communication between patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, facilitating communication and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist patients in accessing services within the health system, including referrals to specialists and other resources.
  • Facilitate communication with referring physicians, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Provide follow-up support to patients through telephone and electronic communication.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and policies, with a strong understanding of the University of California's services and programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of patient-related policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of hospital computer systems and personal computer systems, with proficiency in software products used for administrative work.
