Job Overview

Brinson Auto Group is seeking a skilled Transmission Technician to join our team in Athens, Texas. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of transmissions in various types of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair transmission-related issues with both manual and automatic transmissions
  • Inspect, test, and reassemble transmission components
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to make repairs
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical information to non-technical customers
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
  • Automotive transmission experience and/or certification
  • Understanding of electronic and mechanical principles related to automotive technology
  • Familiarity with various tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicles
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills when interacting with customers
  • Valid driver's license
Benefits

This is a full-time, hourly position with compensation ranging between $30 to $40 per hour. Benefits packages include health insurance and 401k options.
