Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care tasks under the direction of the RN, including vital signs, blood glucose testing, phlebotomy, and electrode placement.
  • Perform basic patient care services, such as height and weight measurements, intake and output tracking, and stocking patient rooms.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including clutter-free rooms and removal of linen and trash.
  • Support patient and family communication needs, including answering call lights and orienting new patients to the room.
  • Promote patient safety and comfort, including assisting with patient mobility and providing water, ice, and other comfort items.
  • Transport non-monitored patients and assist RNs with monitored and/or intubated transports.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of recent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • CNA Program/Certification or AEMT/Paramedic Licensure/Certification or MA Program/Certification.
  • BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
