Job Summary

At Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care services under the direction of our professional registered nurses.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and collaborate with our registered nurses to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform patient care tasks, including vital signs, blood glucose testing, phlebotomy, and electrode placement, under the direction of our RNs.
  • Provide basic patient care services, such as height and weight measurements, intake and output tracking, and stocking patient rooms.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our patients, including clutter-free rooms and quiet surroundings.
  • Support patient and family communication needs, including answering call lights and orienting new patients to their rooms.
  • Promote patient safety and comfort by assisting with mobility, safety rounds, and providing essential amenities.
  • Transport non-monitored patients and assist RNs with monitored and intubated transports.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • CNA Program/Certification or AEMT/Paramedic Licensure/Certification or MA Program/Certification.
  • BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
