About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at RPM Living. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and removing trash
  • Complete grounds work as directed by the Maintenance Manager and/or Community Manager, including picking up trash, cleaning dumpster areas, trash rooms, and trash chutes
  • Thoroughly clean breezeways, including removing cobwebs, bugs in lights, mopping floors, power washing, and wiping down doors and handrails
  • Execute basic landscaping, including trimming and pruning, watering, monitoring irrigation for damage, and removing dead branches, leaves, and twigs
  • Assist in the preparation of make-ready units, including removing trash from vacant apartments
  • Operate safely various maintenance equipment, including power washers, backpack blowers, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and sweepers
  • Assist in pool maintenance and understand basic pool care, including chemical readings, making chemical adjustments, backwashing, and pool cleaning
  • Ensure prompt response to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance assignments
  • Complete work orders and maintenance tasks within 24-48 hours, updating records in the computer system
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field
  • High school diploma or GED
  • General knowledge in a variety of skilled trades, including construction, installation, repair, and maintenance
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license
Work Environment

This role is based on-site and requires spending time outside with exposure to the elements. May require working in confined spaces, heights, and potentially hazardous areas.
