Shift: Per Diem

Role Overview:

Deliver exceptional patient care within the medical imaging department. Conduct high-quality imaging and examinations while being attuned to patient needs. Adhere to established radiation safety standards. Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a mentor for fellow technologists. Act as a clinical resource for students, staff technologists, and other healthcare personnel, ensuring adherence to current practice standards.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Execute diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for yourself, patients, and others. Follow all safety regulations to minimize radiation exposure to the lowest possible levels (ALARA).
  • Generate high-quality images accurately and promptly.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, providing clear information and guidance regarding procedures while addressing their physical and emotional needs.
  • Assist patients during examinations and ensure proper positioning.
  • Monitor patients and equipment throughout procedures, documenting any unusual occurrences and recording patient conditions.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Registered Technologist in Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT) certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Bone Density certification preferred within six months of employment, if applicable.
