Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment results to address students' unique needs.
  • Deliver Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct speech-language therapy to students, focusing on enhancing their communication skills.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and social development.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed and accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress.

Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid State Licensure: Hold valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
  • ASHA Certification: Be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in School Settings: Have experience working in school settings, preferably in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Local and State Guidelines: Possess in-depth knowledge of local and state guidelines for speech-language therapy in educational environments.
