Role Overview:

The Regulated Entities Controllers group within the Chief Accounting Office is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst. This position is pivotal in delivering top-notch accounting and reporting services to our business partners. You will engage with various legal entities across multiple jurisdictions, collaborate with diverse teams, and spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency in a fast-paced, innovative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end closing process for various financial products and legal entities, including expense and accrual analysis, variance analysis, and journal entry preparation.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis across multiple legal entities.
  • Calculate intercompany fees in accordance with governing agreements and coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely intercompany billing and settlements.
  • Prepare regulatory reports for submission to various regulatory authorities.
  • Draft annual financial statements along with related footnotes in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Facilitate year-end audits, ensuring all necessary work is completed and addressing auditors' inquiries and follow-up items.
  • Maintain up-to-date internal controls documentation and ensure effective operation of controls.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvements to enhance efficiencies and strengthen internal controls across coverage areas.
  • Address ad hoc requests and contribute to special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, particularly US GAAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks for both self and team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA (or equivalent) or actively pursuing certification.
  • Experience in public accounting.
  • Background in the financial services industry.
  • Specific experience with broker-dealer or other regulated entity regulatory reporting.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting systems.

Compensation: Salary range is $110,000 to $140,000 annually.
