Position Summary: As a key point of contact for our facility, the Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth communication and operations. This position involves managing a multi-line telephone system to handle incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls, assess the purpose of the calls, and route them to the correct personnel or department.
  • Take messages and transfer calls to voicemail when necessary.
  • Provide information about the organization, including directions and general inquiries.
  • Welcome visitors, ascertain their purpose, and notify the relevant staff members.
  • Monitor visitor access and issue passes as required.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of conference and meeting rooms.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and routing.
  • Assist with fax operations, including sending and receiving documents.
  • Order and maintain office supplies to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Perform various clerical tasks and special projects, such as filing and photocopying.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with one to three months of clerical experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
