Job Title: Quality Technician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform receiving, first article, and PPAP inspections via sampling plan as assigned by system work order generation or supervisor.
  • Interpret part drawings per ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standard and convert design specifications into inspection and test records.
  • Perform product and system audits in all areas as required by internal and industry (ISO:9001) standards.
  • Create and control quality documents (Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, etc.).
  • Perform non-conforming material reviews and dispositions.
  • Accurately record, investigate, interpret, and effectively communicate inspection, test, and quality data.
  • Perform periodic gage R&R and capability studies and present the findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist and/or lead internal and supplier PPAP workbook completions, in part or in full.
  • Perform task completions and records maintenance via enterprise software application.
  • Apply problem-solving skills (9-Step, DMAIC, 8D, Pareto, 5Why, etc.) to support improvements in internal metrics.
  • Identify, contain, and disposition nonconforming parts with communication to effected areas as needed.
  • Determine work priorities and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years in similar role.
  • Formal training or demonstrated proficiency with Blueprint reading, including GD&T methodology.
  • Third party certification, such as CCT, CQE, CQT preferred.
