PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Operate twin-axis lathe, specifically the Omni Turn model.
  • Load fixtures with raw materials or machined components for specific operations as indicated on job documentation.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify part specifications and ensure compliance with quality standards, documenting all measurements accordingly.
  • Adjust machine programs to compensate for tool wear or positional shifts as necessary.
  • Seek assistance from supervisory personnel in the event of machine malfunctions or measurement discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, quality assessments, and scrap rates on job routers.
  • Regularly check and maintain coolant and oil levels to ensure optimal machine performance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in setting up and operating Turn Mill machinery.
  • Proficient in making offsets and troubleshooting basic issues.
  • Background in the aerospace sector is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is required.
  • Competence in using various measuring tools is essential.
