Job Overview

A part-time culinary professional is sought by Avamere Sherwood to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent service and ensuring high-quality food preparation.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated hourly rate for this position ranges from $17.81 to $23.24, depending on experience. As a valued employee, you will also be eligible for an attendance bonus, premium pay for holidays worked, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage starting at $17.50 per pay period.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals that meet established standards of quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Maintain accurate records of diet trays and work with the facility dietician to ensure seamless food service coordination.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient food service operations.
  • Evaluate menus prior to preparation and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist with meal serving as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in assisted living or related healthcare settings preferred.
  • Possession of a valid food handlers' card is mandatory.
  • Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities and maintain knowledge of food preparation procedures.
  • Sanitation and food safety knowledge are essential for this role.
