Electrical Engineering Department Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Department Manager to join our team at Parsons Company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the electrical engineering department, overseeing the design and implementation of electrical systems, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the electrical engineering department, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, and that quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
  • Develop and implement departmental procedures and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Professional Engineer registration required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good client interface skills and confident demonstration of electrical knowledge.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with delivery of facility design packages for complex multi-discipline, process, architecture & engineering design projects.
  • Proficient in short circuit, protective device coordination and arc flash studies utilizing ETAP, SKM or other related software programs.
  • Working knowledge of design modeling software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
