We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare special meals or substitute items to meet the needs of our guests.
- Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, ensuring timely preparation.
- Maintain accurate food logs to track inventory and quality control.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service.
- Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials, promoting creativity and innovation.
- Keep the Food & Beverage service staff informed of menu specials and out-of-stock items, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Ensure the quality of food items, adhering to our high standards of presentation and quality.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related work experience in a culinary setting.
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree in a related field.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds.
