Volt is currently seeking a Logistics Warehouse Operator I.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support shipping and receiving operations, including unloading vehicles, verifying merchandise, matching purchase orders with sales orders, and distributing items to sales associates for processing.
  • Interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to identify items to be moved, collected, distributed, and/or shipped.
  • Maintain a safe and accessible warehouse environment for both employees and customers.
  • Execute tasks safely; comply with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Assemble products and assist with inventory counts as required.
  • Handle check calls from drivers, ensuring timely deliveries; confirm all load data before marking loads as delivered for accounting purposes.
  • Oversee daily pickups and deliveries; ensure that shipments arrive punctually and in optimal condition.
This is a Full-Time Contract position.

Work Schedule: 1st shift, Sunday - Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off, from 06:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Basic written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Fundamental computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, depending on freight volumes.
  • Experience in dock or warehouse settings within the transportation sector.
  • Familiarity with loading and unloading trailers.
  • Experience utilizing handheld scanners.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to follow instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form.
  • Must be capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling at least 75 pounds.
  • Competence in loading and unloading trucks.
Compensation: Pay rate ranges from $17 to $18.25 per hour.

*The offered pay range for a successful candidate will depend on various factors, including education, work experience, job location, specific responsibilities, certifications, etc.
