Position Overview

Join the team at Volt as we seek a dedicated Logistics Warehouse Operative.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Shipping and Receiving: Support the logistics process by unloading shipments, verifying incoming goods, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
  • Order Management: Interpret customer requests and work orders to determine the necessary items for processing and distribution.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a secure and accessible warehouse environment for both employees and visitors.
  • Operational Efficiency: Follow safety protocols diligently while completing tasks efficiently.
  • Inventory Participation: Assist in assembling products and conducting inventory checks as required.
  • Driver Coordination: Communicate with drivers to confirm timely deliveries and validate load information for accurate record-keeping.
  • Monitoring Deliveries: Track daily logistics operations to ensure timely and safe arrival of goods.

This position offers a Full-Time Contract opportunity.

Work Schedule: 1st shift, Sunday to Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off, from 06:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Basic proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Fundamental computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, depending on workload.
  • Experience in dock or warehouse settings within the logistics sector.
  • Proficiency in loading and unloading freight.
  • Familiarity with handheld scanning devices.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking in following instructions provided in various formats.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull weights of at least 75 pounds.
  • Competence in loading and unloading transportation vehicles.

Compensation: The pay rate ranges from $17 to $18.25 per hour, based on various factors such as education, experience, location, and specific job responsibilities.
