We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Assistant Professional to join our team at our Aurora clinic to cover our weekend hours (Saturday 8-3 and Sunday 8-12) and some weekday coverage if possible.
Key Responsibilities- Provides exceptional patient care and service, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
- Works collaboratively with healthcare providers and other clinic staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Collects and records accurate clinical data, including patient medical history, medication lists, and vital signs.
- Performs various clinical tasks, such as phlebotomy, EKG, and point-of-care testing, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Administers medications and immunizations, and recognizes potential adverse reactions.
- Processes lab work and medication refills, and completes patient callbacks and referrals.
- 1+ Years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Previous experience in family medicine is preferred
- Previous experience using Athena EMR is preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Demonstrates empathy and compassion when interacting with patients and team members
