Your Role in Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance Manager at Lennar is tasked with the crucial responsibility of inspecting and assessing the construction of homes to guarantee adherence to quality standards and building regulations. This role is vital in managing construction quality, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our Customers, and striving for an unparalleled customer experience through a Zero Defect Home initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive Quality Assurance inspections of homes, emphasizing materials and workmanship quality.
  • Ensure construction complies with approved designs, specifications, local regulations, and scopes of work.
  • Identify and document defects, discrepancies, and compliance issues.
  • Complete Quality Assurance Acceptance as scheduled by the Construction Management Team.
  • Maintain meticulous inspection records, including photographs and reports, and communicate findings to contractors and stakeholders.
  • Convey inspection results, recommendations, and areas for enhancement to community teams and customers.
  • Stay updated on building codes and product specifications, providing training recommendations to elevate quality standards and best practices.
  • Conduct New Home Orientations with customers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Certification in construction codes is advantageous, along with strong plan reading skills.
  • Prior experience in construction quality inspection or a related field is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing inspection tools and equipment.
  • Physical fitness and readiness to work in outdoor and construction site environments.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (BuildPro & Salesforce) is a plus.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This position requires regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during standard work hours. The role necessitates the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry equipment that may exceed 50 pounds. Occasional operation of construction equipment may be required. Finger dexterity may be necessary to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
