Position Summary:
The role involves executing professional accounting responsibilities and analyzing financial data to support various accounting functions, which may encompass Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting, and General Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other financial reports. Prepare month-end closing journal entries, schedules, trial balances, and cost center reports. Generate annual reports including auto mileage, expense reports, relocation expenses, and fixed asset physical inventories.
  • Reconcile and analyze assigned accounts, assessing the impact of transactions and recommending alternative accounting treatments.
  • Review payroll distributions, foreign currency transactions, and management fees, ensuring accurate classifications and reporting variances to senior accounting personnel.
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting systems, methods, procedures, and controls, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate site codes, cost centers, and asset lifespans, while preparing summaries to address unauthorized expenditures.
  • Maintain the general ledger system.
  • Prepare inter-company billing and reconciliations, monitoring account balances to mitigate negative working capital impacts. Oversee hedge requests and reporting.
  • Audit accounts payable checks, verifying supporting documentation, authorization levels, and appropriateness of sales tax.
  • Identify and report compliance issues with internal controls, recommending improvements to enhance accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in various accounting areas, demonstrating proficiency in applying accounting principles and techniques.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of relevant policies and procedures, with insight into both the rationale and methodology.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting/financial systems, with a preference for candidates with accounting module implementation experience.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation and listening abilities.
  • Exemplary organizational and project management skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and open to taking on new responsibilities.
  • Commitment to compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Certifications:
CPA certification is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
