Job Overview
The Guest Services Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing financial, revenue, and guest administration services aboard our vessels, ensuring all operations align with the company’s esteemed service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage professionally with all departments including Front Office, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Deck, and Engineering, as well as with guests.
- Compile and present daily and weekly financial reports.
- Lead, train, and mentor the team of pursers and first pursers.
- Manage scheduling and crew accommodations for the Pursers office.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, POS, and PMS systems effectively (experience with MXP is advantageous).
- Oversee all banking operations onboard.
- Administer guest and crew accounts diligently.
- Handle payroll functions for crew members.
- Ensure smooth embarkation and debarkation processes.
- Coordinate provisioning needs at designated ports.
- Uphold the company’s mission by promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Participate in USCG mandated drills and emergency procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet operational goals.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred
Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) if applicable
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English is required.
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a courteous and professional manner.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and POS systems.
- Capability to train and supervise staff effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Experience:
- Minimum of five to seven years in a similar role.
- Experience in the cruise industry is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated.
