Job Overview

The Guest Services Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing financial, revenue, and guest administration services aboard our vessels, ensuring all operations align with the company’s esteemed service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage professionally with all departments including Front Office, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Deck, and Engineering, as well as with guests.
  • Compile and present daily and weekly financial reports.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the team of pursers and first pursers.
  • Manage scheduling and crew accommodations for the Pursers office.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, POS, and PMS systems effectively (experience with MXP is advantageous).
  • Oversee all banking operations onboard.
  • Administer guest and crew accounts diligently.
  • Handle payroll functions for crew members.
  • Ensure smooth embarkation and debarkation processes.
  • Coordinate provisioning needs at designated ports.
  • Uphold the company’s mission by promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in USCG mandated drills and emergency procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) if applicable

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and POS systems.
  • Capability to train and supervise staff effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five to seven years in a similar role.
  • Experience in the cruise industry is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated.
