Job Title: Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a commitment to providing high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

Job Summary

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. The teacher will work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay informed about Massachusetts special education regulations and advocate for students' needs while ensuring compliance with state guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must hold a valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher License (Moderate Disabilities, Severe Disabilities, or any other type).
  • Must obtain or hold all required Massachusetts school clearances, including CORI, DCF background check, and National fingerprint-based background check.
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience working with students with disabilities is a plus, but new teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and creativity are essential to creating a vibrant and student-centered learning environment.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: $40-$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Interview Process
  • Step 1: 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy recruiter.
  • Step 2: 20-30 minute virtual interview with the school district.
  • Final Step: Offer typically extended within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview.
