Job Description

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Peabody, Massachusetts. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing individualized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive classroom experience.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies and technology to make learning fun, engaging, and impactful.
  • Stay informed about Massachusetts special education regulations and advocate for students' needs while ensuring compliance with state guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher License (Moderate Disabilities, Severe Disabilities, or any other type).
  • Must obtain or hold all required Massachusetts school clearances, including CORI, DCF background check, and National fingerprint-based background check.
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience working with students with disabilities is a plus, but new teachers are welcome to apply.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay: $40-$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Interview Process:
  • Step 1: 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy recruiter.
  • Step 2: 20-30 minute virtual interview with the school district.
  • Final Step: Offer typically extended within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview.
