Position Overview:
As a Senior Aircraft Technician specializing in A&P at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, you will be responsible for executing a range of aircraft modifications and maintenance tasks. Your expertise will ensure that all operations adhere to established procedures and performance specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance Execution: Carry out periodic maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, demonstrating proficiency in completing tasks within standard timeframes.
  2. Leadership: Provide guidance to assigned technicians, promoting high-quality standards through effective instruction and exemplary conduct.
  3. Compliance Coordination: Collaborate with the Inspection department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection requirements, completing necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all completed work meets the highest quality standards and specifications, properly tagging customer property and securely storing aircraft components.
  5. Training and Development: Assist in onboarding new employees by providing training on maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, and major component maintenance.
  6. Operational Support: Coordinate with other departments for the overhaul or repair of customer property as required.

Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize the material tracking system for parts demand and labor charging.
  2. Implement Lean initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  3. Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental standards.
  4. Participate in flight tests as needed to support aircraft certification.
  5. Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 3 years working on mid to large-sized aircraft.
  • Preferred experience with corporate aircraft.
  • A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate.
  • A valid Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirements:
Advanced understanding of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models, as well as familiarity with technical reference materials and FAA regulations. Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding the English language is essential.
