Aircraft Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at Aerotek. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing line maintenance on Boeing 747, 767, and 777 aircraft in an outdoor line station environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer maintenance calls and repair and replace interior parts, fluids, and components as needed
  • Sign off on airworthiness and ensure all maintenance is completed to the highest standards
  • Work collaboratively with a team of 3-4 mechanics per lead to achieve maintenance goals
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience on 747 or 767 aircraft
  • A&P license
  • Tool list attached to this req (does not have to be exact)
Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Anchorage, Alaska, with a 6-month contract-to-hire duration. Out-of-state candidates qualify for per diem. The work environment is fast-paced, with 3 shifts: 6am-4pm, 12pm-10pm, and 9pm-7am. Most maintenance takes place in the 12pm-4pm timeframe.

New hires typically train on morning or afternoon shift to get the most maintenance exposure. Line maintenance is all done outside, and sometimes work may be at a significant height if repairing something on the tail.
