About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time Youth Outreach Coordinator to join our team at Girl Scouts of San Jacinto. As a key member of our outreach team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing interactive programs for middle and high school-aged girls in the East Houston area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging programs that address contemporary issues facing teen and pre-teen girls, such as peer pressure, self-esteem, health and fitness, harassment, dating violence, conflict resolution, bullying, diversity, healthy relationships, and financial literacy.
  • Develop strong relationships with local schools and community organizations to promote our programs and services.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and develop new program ideas and initiatives that meet the needs of our target audience.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to our program participants, schools, and community partners.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in youth development and outreach.

Requirements

  • Dependable, enthusiastic, organized, and energetic individual with strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to engage and relate to girls of various ethnicities, demographics, and ages.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver's license, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to lift and transport supplies as needed.
  • Prior experience working/volunteering with youth is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable but not required.
  • A high school graduate minimum is required, some college or degree preferred.
