POSITION SUMMARY
The Youth Support Services Specialist II is responsible for delivering assessment, counseling, and support services to adolescents facing a variety of challenges, including familial issues, potential delinquency, and overall well-being risks. This role encompasses providing both individual and group therapy, advocating within educational settings, life skills development, and other activities customized to meet the needs of youth aged 10-17 in our service area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to all inquiries from the Program Coordinator.
- Maintain an organized calendar reflecting daily responsibilities and travel commitments.
- Manage a caseload of 20-25 clients, including those with more complex needs, as designated by the Program Coordinator.
- Engage in clinical team meetings and lead therapy sessions for clients.
- Ensure precise documentation for crisis interventions and client records.
- Oversee clients during program hours and during transportation to guarantee their safety.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the Community Liaison in fostering and maintaining community partnerships.
- Help organize and implement client events and outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with community partners for support agreements and participate in outreach meetings.
- Engage in supervision meetings, team discussions, and training sessions as required.
- Timely submission of necessary documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
To thrive in this position, candidates should possess a Master's degree and have prior experience working with at-risk youth. Availability for evening and weekend shifts, a willingness to transport clients, and receptiveness to feedback are also essential.
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance are mandatory.
