Job Overview

Position Summary

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless functionality within the warehouse environment. Key responsibilities encompass supervising timely inventory receipts and dispatches, maintaining precise inventory transaction records, providing comprehensive training and development for new personnel, facilitating the implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring adherence to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), promoting a culture of professionalism, and sustaining high levels of accuracy in picking, shipping, and receiving operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee support teams and track incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Process shipments and receipts in real-time using Business Central and JIT support systems
  • Assist in the deployment and efficient operation of Warehouse Management Systems, offering feedback and resolving issues as necessary
  • Ensure support teams adhere to inventory transaction procedures to enhance accuracy and reduce discrepancies
  • Report variances and errors to management and inventory control teams
  • Assist in identifying and rectifying inventory discrepancies
  • Enforce safety standards and Food Safety regulations to foster a secure and compliant workplace
  • Monitor and enhance picking accuracy, shipping accuracy, and receiving accuracy through key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Train and guide new warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with best practices and safety measures

Leadership Duties

  • Dynamic and forward-thinking individual capable of maintaining effective working relationships across all organizational levels.

  • Maintain transparent and effective communication with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and other departments

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or a related field is preferred. Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in operating Standup Forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in a noisy, wet, and cold environment with temperatures ranging from 34-38 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Work will involve moving between two warehouses and navigating around operational equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs continuously
  • Must be capable of sitting, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling
