Nurse Home Visitor Opportunity
Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Home Visitor to join our team in supporting first-time parents and their babies in the southwestern county of the state.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in your community. As a Nurse Home Visitor, you will provide coaching and care to first-time expectant clients, developing therapeutic relationships and utilizing concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing in a home visiting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and perform home visits to clients and their families in accordance with the Nurse-Family Partnership model and guidelines.
- Assess physical, emotional, social, and environmental needs of clients and their families as they relate to the Nurse-Family Partnership domains.
- Assist clients and their families in establishing goals and attaining outcomes by providing education, support, and referral resources.
- Coordinate access to community resources provided by Goodwill staff and partners with other outside professionals involved in providing services to clients and families.
- Formulate nursing diagnoses based on nursing assessment and client goals and evaluate client progress toward stated goals and Nurse-Family Partnership outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or an Associates degree in Nursing (ASN) with the expectation to begin the path to BSN within 5 years of employment.
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Ability to occasionally work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license, up-to-date auto insurance, and a good driving record.
- Ability to travel to Denver, CO for all in-person education sessions.
- Current CPR certification.
