Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems administration, with experience in virtual machines, server configuration, and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for setting up, diagnosing, and troubleshooting multiple systems, including desktop computers, servers, cloud environments, and virtual machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and resolve computer, server, or network issues through our ticketing system within agreed SLAs.
  • Setup, diagnose, and troubleshoot multiple systems, including desktop computers, servers, cloud environments, and virtual machines.
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time.
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be willing to adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk ticketing software.
  • Hands-on experience with virtual machines and virtual environments such as Proxmox VE, VMware ESXi, Windows Hyper-V, and VirtualBox.
  • Hands-on experience with server configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to keep accurate documentation of inventory and events for security audits.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • BS degree and/or certifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field.
  • Proven work experience as an IT Help Desk Technician, Systems Administrator, or similar role with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or similar technologies are a plus.
  • Knowledge in Compliance such as SOC2, ISO27001.
  • Good scripting skills is a plus.
  • Ability to automate redundant tasks is ideal.
  • Knowledge, managing & troubleshooting multiple Cloud Environments.

Working Conditions:

Work is generally conducted indoors on carpeted floors, typically during regular business hours but not limited to, Monday through Friday, unless emergent IT crises occur during weekend or evening hours.
