Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to join our team at Argonne National Laboratory. As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting of floors, walls, and surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as scrubbing machines and buffers.
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Assist with special events and projects, such as cleaning up after conferences and meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of custodial experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Proficiency in English language to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
