$105,050 to $131,300 annually
Work Schedule:
Wednesday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
In partnership with the hatchery manager, you will assist in setting hatchery objectives and formulating an annual budget.
Collaborate with the hatchery manager to create and enhance existing hatchery monitoring systems aimed at optimizing hatchability and chick quality while adhering to budget constraints.
Work alongside the hatchery manager to build a solid foundation of knowledge regarding chicken incubation and chick quality.
In conjunction with the hatchery manager, pinpoint critical factors (both internal and external) that significantly influence hatchability and chick quality.
Oversee daily operations, assess daily productivity, and analyze hatchability and chick quality.
Review, assess, and interpret daily performance metrics for each hatchery department through regular data analysis.
Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with the hatchery manager to establish clear objectives, working with supervisors to ensure successful implementation.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain thorough documentation.
Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration; engage with other company divisions and meet reporting deadlines.
Seek feedback from the grow-out division to ensure customer satisfaction regarding chick quality and delivery.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards in line with relevant legal requirements; collaborate with the hatchery manager to uphold company values.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in poultry science, engineering, or business; or equivalent experience, preferably within the agricultural sector.
Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with strong interpersonal skills.
A balanced mix of technical, mechanical, and human resource knowledge.
Capable of evaluating both line and exempt employees fairly and objectively.
Able to interact daily with all support groups or departments.
Must comply with disease control policies.
Clean driving record.
Must successfully complete pallet jack training.
Ability to operate automation equipment safely and efficiently.
