Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Triage Onsite Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a State Licensed Practical Nursing license and have experience in accurately calculating medication dosages. The ideal candidate will be able to assist physicians and nurse practitioners as needed, provide telephone triage, and document all patient, physician, and other contacts. Additionally, the candidate will participate in revenue cycle management, ensure authorizations and referrals are in place, and notify the Billing Associate of needs for further authorizations. The RN Triage Onsite Specialist will also be responsible for documenting correct CPT and ICD-10 codes for services provided, maintaining patient confidentiality, and communicating effectively and courteously with patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately calculate medication dosages and maintain a State Licensed Practical Nursing license.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners as needed and provide telephone triage.
  • Document all patient, physician, and other contacts and participate in revenue cycle management.
  • Ensure authorizations and referrals are in place and notify the Billing Associate of needs for further authorizations.
  • Document correct CPT and ICD-10 codes for services provided and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients and their families and treat all patients and their families with dignity and respect.
  • Use standards of patient satisfaction as a measure of effectiveness and follow universal precautions and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other assigned duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a current/valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state that they are providing services.
  • Maintain and possess a state RN license and must maintain CPR certification.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
