Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the design and development of composite aerospace structures and components from initial concept to final production.

Conduct thorough structural evaluations and optimizations of composite materials and structures utilizing advanced simulation tools and methodologies.

Engage with cross-disciplinary teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and testing, to guarantee design integrity and performance.

Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including CAD models, technical drawings, specifications, and reports.

Perform failure analysis and propose solutions to enhance the performance and reliability of composite structures.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, offering technical leadership and expertise in composite design and analysis.

Remain updated with industry trends, advancements in composite materials, and emerging technologies to foster innovation within the team.

Ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards and regulations throughout the design and development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in composite design and structural analysis, preferably within the aerospace sector.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and finite element analysis (FEA) tools (e.g., Abaqus, NASTRAN).

In-depth understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural behavior.

Demonstrated experience in leading complex design initiatives and delivering high-quality outcomes within stringent timelines.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically and creatively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA) is highly advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with composite repair and maintenance practices.

Knowledge of aerospace certification processes and documentation.

Advanced understanding of composite manufacturing techniques, such as autoclave curing, resin transfer molding (RTM), and filament winding.

Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.

Compensation ranges from $140,000 to $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
