POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Assembly Technician is responsible for executing repetitive tasks at designated workstations to manufacture luggage rack components or to assemble these components into finished luggage racks.

SHIFT AVAILABILITY:
2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To excel in this role, the individual must effectively carry out each essential duty. The following requirements are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for success:
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and appropriate attire in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Comply with all Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and ISO procedures relevant to the job description.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Adhere to Standard Work as outlined in the Operator Work Instructions.
  2. Ensure accurate production counts, fulfill customer specifications, and meet Corporate Appearance Standards along with any functional requirements.
  3. Complete Daily Shift Start-Up Sheets as required.
  4. Utilize Andon Lights correctly to signal Equipment Downtime, Quality, or Material Issues.
  5. Follow Changeover Instructions, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  6. Generate tags for equipment and safety concerns as necessary, employing the escalation process when required.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the workstation by adhering to posted 5S Instructions.
  8. Utilize hold part racks appropriately, ensuring parts are marked and tracking logs are maintained.
  9. Conduct basic Daily Preventive Maintenance tasks within the workstation.
  10. Engage in and understand all aspects of the continuous improvement initiatives.
  11. Perform any additional functions as needed to support the efficient workflow within JAC Products, Inc.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that respects individual differences and promotes personal development.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, policy manuals, and operational instructions.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Inspection capabilities: Ability to assess components or assemblies to determine their compliance with specific customer standards, Corporate Appearance Standards, or other functional requirements.
