Job Summary

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented LAN Systems Integration and Test Technician to serve on a team of IT support professionals in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network systems integration and test, with experience in troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, install, and configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.

Provide technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network; test and analyze network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters, and servers.

Install, support, and/or maintain LANs and/or WANs; evaluate and recommend networking product and software upgrades.

Perform technical analyses of software, hardware, and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations.

Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.

Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Microsoft Certified Professional Program, Cisco Network certification, or any other approved information technology certification.

Ability to work multiple projects with limited supervision, and ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in a busy environment.

Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple concurrent projects.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions and work with customers in providing resolution.

Must be a self-starter and work with a clear and defined mission.

Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.

BA/BS and four (4) years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6 years.

Security Clearance Requirements

Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.

Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.
