**Job Summary**

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transport services in support of a large IT infrastructure project. You will work as part of a network engineering team to deliver Transport services and will be responsible for MPLS/BGP transport network design and engineering.

**Key Responsibilities**

Serve as part of a network engineering team to deliver Transport services in support of a large IT infrastructure project

MPLS/BGP transport network design and engineering

Must be a self-starter that can lead Service Provider Architecture solutions and guide junior network engineers

Ability to design and implement Service Provider core and edge technologies

Expert level experience with network routing protocols such as, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and ISIS

Deep understanding of modern Service Provider architecture solutions

Ability to translate customer requirements into enterprise/service provider network solutions

Ability to develop and engineer a Service Provider network that will integrate with other service providers

Ability to develop and negotiate IP peering agreements between service providers

Ability to perform upgrades and routine network operations/maintenance at Tier 4 support level

Experience with multiple router operating systems to include IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and JUNOS

Experience with multi-vendor solutions (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)

Experience with SD-WAN solutions

**Preferred Qualifications**

Experience with a wide variety of network technologies and architectures

Prior routing experience working with other Intelligence Community partners

Prior experience working in service provider networks

Broad understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the networking field

Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and network design concepts

Cloud Service Provider and hybrid cloud experience (extending on-premise networks to cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, and Google)

Continuous Integration, test automation on iterative development projects

Prior experience with Network Automation (Cisco, NSO, Ansible, Python)
